THE Atheist Society held its monthly lecture last night at the Unitarian Church Hall in East Melbourne. Lev Lafayette discussed "Atheist Support for Religious Freedom", which was followed by a Q&A session. The group also meets monthly at another semi-holy location: the Gertrude Hotel in Fitzroy. While members don't believe in an almighty, they do put their faith in organisation  the global atheist convention, The Rise of Atheism, is booked for March at the Melbourne Conference and Exhibition Centre.
