Great Britain, sorely depleted by injuries, stunned Australia last night, winning the second rugby league test by 33-10.

In front of a crowd of more than 30,000 at Melbourne's Princes Park, the Lions stormed to a 22-0 lead at half-time.

Desperation team changes made by coach Bob Fulton at half-time appeared to be working when Australia clawed the lead back to 23-10 early in the second half.

But the tourists stormed home with two tries in the last 10 minutes to seal the match and square the three-match series.
