Brisbane Broncos have no great desire to challenge the Australian Rugby
League (ARL) champions if they win tonight's Super League grand final at ANZ
Stadium.
A "Super Bowl" between the champion Super League and ARL teams is still being
mooted with the latest proposed date being October 8 at Sydney Football
Stadium.
Brisbane's season is not over after the grand final with the Broncos backing
up for the finals of the World Club Challenge and also taking part in Super
League Tests against New Zealand and a tour of Great Britain.
Despite the promise of a sell-out crowd for a battle between the warring
rugby league premiers, which some believed would be another step towards
unification, the Broncos aren't excited about the idea.
"If we win we are the Super League champions, we can't do much more than
that," said Broncos' five-eighth Kevin Walters.
