The heart transplant patient and would-be television actress, Fiona Coote, was in the care of her mother yesterday, thought to be suffering from a minor illness.

A Channel 10 spokesman said she had cancelled her television debut for the Neighbours series at 11 pm on Monday, but no reason was given.

At home in the north-western NSW town of Manilla, Mr Coote was not particularly worried about his 17-year-old daughter's condition, thinking her a "bit off colour" rather than seriously ill.

Doctors at St Vincent's Hospital where she has been treated since her first transplant three years ago said her complaint could not be serious, otherwise she would have gone to the hospital for treatment.
